CREATING A BETTER WORLD FOR ELEPHANTS — TOGETHER
As we approach The Elephant Sanctuary’s 30th anniversary in 2025, we are celebrating the completion of two 3,300-square-foot bull barns and the arrival of Osh, an 11-foot, 15,000-pound African bull elephant from Oakland Zoo.
These milestones represent The Sanctuary’s longevity and 30-year history of caring for elephants like Artie, Donna, Edie, Flora, Nosey, Sukari, Tange, Billie, Debbie, Minnie, Ronnie, and Sissy as well as commitment to the critical care of elephants — female or male, African or Asian.
With your support, The Sanctuary will continue to meet the needs of elephants for the next 30 years and beyond!
Your support plays a vital role in this mission. Donations from The Sanctuary’s supporters help cover the day-to-day expenses of meeting the complex needs of the elephants in our care. Your donation covers items such as:

Thanks to the steadfast support of our donors and The Elephant Sanctuary’s commitment to the highest standard of care for elephants, the organization is seeing our global influence growing in pursuit of the well-being of all elephants.
We exchange ideas, knowledge, and best practices with our 10 international partners plus host intern and research exchanges. The Sanctuary learns how other facilities around the world are improving the lives of elephants, while sharing what we have learned from our experiences caring for elephants here in Middle Tennessee.
Through these connections as well as our robust Distance Learning program that reached over 12,000 learners last year, we’re making the world smaller — linking Hohenwald, Tennessee, to classrooms across the United States and countries like Malaysia, Vietnam, Kenya, Botswana, South Africa, Namibia, Nigeria, India, France, and Brazil..
