Abscesses are prone on the feet of elephants in captivity. The Sanctuary's Veterinary Team have custom-designed a system using antimicrobial sponges and soft, flexible epoxy to protect these wounds, promote healing, and increase comfort. Since its inception, these areas have dramatically improved. Each epoxy patch uses $55 of materials.
